Antonela Hako President of the Women's Economic Chamber (Hako shpk)
Her journey reflects the best career guidance. After graduating from the Faculty of Economics and Finance in 1988 at the University of Tirana, Antonela Hako worked for two years as an economist in Laç, in the Industrial Construction Company.
In 1990 She started working at the Economic Informatics center in Tirana. But, with the changes that took place in Albania, she decided to emigrate to Greece in December of the same year. Unlike many other immigrants, the decision to return to Albania was faster. Her family returned four years later, opening the first business, a meat shop near the "Partizani" high school.
A year later, in 1995, Hako moves to a larger store at the New Bazaar, in Tirana. Here begins the first production with simple meatball machines and packaged minced meat. After a year another enlargement step was taken, relocation to Mihal Grameno street and expansion with used machinery and refrigeration rooms. The number of employees reached 15.
In a turbulent year like the one of '97, Antonela Hako moved her venture in Lapraka, in the premises of the former Tirana factory. She also invested in additional machinery and a small line for the production of salami and bacon.
In 2004, Hako moved in a bigger factory. The technological line was replaced with new production. The number of employees and the range of products increased. The transport fleet was formed and distribution began throughout the country.
Throughout this journey, Antonela is in charge of the company's finances, sales and marketing.
Nowadays, Antonela Hako and her family have over 200 employees in Albania, while they have launched the development project in Kosovo.
